Originating from Hawaii, Lomi Lomi is also called Kahuna which means ‘loving touch’. It involves repetitive long gentle soothing strokes coordinated with the breathing, which makes this type of massage a very meditative one.

Like Swedish massage it relaxes the muscles and the connective tissue and improves circulation. In addition, it is used to reconnect with one’s inner self and therefore can help release repressed feelings and reduce inhibitions.
